Feeling a bit down about business?

Feeling a little blue, feeling discouraged in business, happens, it's not a big deal. You can take a moment for yourself, but you don't have the right to linger. We know that being in business isn't always a bed of roses! I'm not a psychologist and this article doesn't claim to be written by an expert in the field. However, with 34 years of experience as a woman in business, I've regularly faced this feeling of being in a little blues. So it's with complete simplicity that I allow myself to write this blog article.

First, what is a business blues?

Having a little blues in business is having a little moment of discouragement for X reasons. There are indeed a thousand and one reasons to be discouraged in business. Not enough sales, tight deadline, fatigue, lack of employees, delayed production due to a mechanical breakdown, a good employee will be absent for several months due to illness or an accident, loss of a client, a partner is not bearable, bad temporary work atmosphere, long working hours, forced to work weekends, etc. I could go on and on. Moments of discouragement in business, we have all had them and we will have them again! It happens and it is part of the job. Whether you are in service or product distribution, being in business is not easy. Of course, there are training courses to help us improve and be better. Of course, there are plenty of other companies that can, with their expertise, help us. But the fact remains that being in business sometimes means being alone at the head of a company with so many responsibilities.

However, this moment must be temporary. We cannot linger in this context, because business could suffer. We must recover, find solutions, because the »business doesn't wait ".

Is it necessary to go through this?

For me, this very uncomfortable moment lasts less than a day to a week at most. How do I do this? Simply because it is so uncomfortable for me that I unconsciously put myself in solution-searching mode. At the time, I sometimes take the time to indulge in self-pity, compulsive cleaning, a short run or walk outside in nature. After a while, that's enough! I'm tired of soaking in this pool of "schnoute"!!!

For me, these little moments are a excellent indicator that something is wrong and I need to take care of it. If you cut your hand badly, for example, you would take care of it, go to the doctor or disinfect the wound. If your door latch breaks, you would fix it or have it fixed, right? It's the same with that kind of feeling, we have to take care of itr! You have to stop and really see what's wrong. Use it as a lever of propulsion! At least that's what this kind of feeling has on me. It serves as a lever of propulsion to react positively.

I can assure you it definitely works!

My challenge: My method to test!

  • I take my time, I stop for a few moments. As long as it takes.
  • I go for a run or a walk and get some fresh air, I eat, I do something that really makes me happy or feels good.
  • The magic happens, my brain begins to reflect on all this. I take the time to breathe and welcome all the feelings that will inhabit me, without putting a cross on any. I let BE WHAT IS.
  • And when I leave truly be what is without intervening, solutions start appearing! It's as if my system is going into internal repair mode. But you have to be willing to live through this uncomfortable moment first.

I'm currently offering a training course that covers this method and much more. Trust me, it's a powerful course that will serve you for the rest of your life, no matter what your career path. There are two training options available:

So this blues has been going on for a long time?

If, on the other hand, the blues have been going on for a few weeks, a few months, or even sometimes a few years, I strongly recommend reading this article that I wrote in January 2018:  January Challenge: Health. Believe me, I understand and I support you with compassion in your approach, whatever it may be. If your blues have lasted for a long time, it is because it requires that you take care of it seriously and from now on.

I kindly wish you a little moment of blues to help you move forward in your life.
