Hygiene and sanitation in healthcare environments
The role of a hygiene and sanitation attendant is to limit the spread of bacteria and this is an essential role for any healthcare establishment. Cleaning and disinfecting care units, indoor and outdoor public areas, and specialized locations, however, presents many challenges. It requires compliance with standards and procedures and, of course, willingness to work among clients.
The needs to be met
- The first task is generally to assess the quality of hygiene and sanitation in buildings. Check whether work procedures are being followed. All of this is done with respect for the people who work there.
- We will see if the establishment has everything it needs in terms of products, accessories and maintenance equipment.
- An evaluation report will be issued to management with proposed recommendations.
- Then we can continue with additional training, quality control linked to additional training directly with the employee.
- Work routes or other procedures could be established if required.
We will conduct quality checks to ensure employees understand the hygiene and sanitation program.
