The quality control service for your building's housekeeping is a guarantee of success. Have you ever heard the saying, "The mice will play when the king is out"? I've done housekeeping myself, and I know that after a while, people start to lose sight of the nooks and crannies. This is caused by the routine work of the janitor. Therefore, an effective quality control service keeps janitors on their toes.
Frequency of quality controls
The type of building, the number of janitors, and the degree of non-compliance will determine this. Once quality has stabilized, it's safe to slightly space out quality inspections depending on the type of building. However, it's best to maintain a stable frequency of these inspections.
Scoring grid
I work with a timesheet that corresponds to the personal housekeeping estimate. Everything that needs to be done each day and each week is included in the timesheet. It will also include major work that needs to be done during the year. Each line of the housekeeping estimate is noted, and at the end of the report, you will receive a percentage quality score including suggestions for improvement. We can then add additional information for the employee. These notes can be appreciation notes, solutions to non-conformities, etc. If you do not have a housekeeping quality control form, we will develop one for you and according to your needs. We also use other tests using black light and the Diversey VeriClean system.
Usefulness of housekeeping quality control
Additionally, quality control is a highly effective training method. The results can be used to provide personalized coaching on areas the employee hasn't mastered. We typically see an improvement in quality and even a significant increase in customer satisfaction.
A report is written after the quality control. We inform the employee of the strengths and errors that need to be corrected. To ensure that inconsistencies are corrected in the future, additional training of a few minutes or more may be added.
