This is the greatest and most beautiful gift I wish to give myself and others: HEALTH! It is also the greatest challenge I have for you this year: Take charge of your health.

Oh oh oh… you think I'm exaggerating, don't you? Well, no! My dad is currently in the hospital awaiting a serious and risky operation, that is, open heart surgery. Dad has always been "hard on his body." For years I've seen him have difficulty climbing stairs, not forcing himself to exercise. Yet, when we were young, Dad played squash, racquetball, was part of a softball team, went cross-country skiing, etc. Over time, insidiously, he did less and less. Stress occupied a good part of his life as a businessman. In the last years, he sometimes had stomach problems. The solution? Take 'Toms'! It was a temporary solution of course. Why am I discussing this personal topic with you? Quite simply because when we are in the prime of working age, our health is very often secondary!
Where to start?
Simple, starting first with become aware of our state! I very often see people arriving at the annual celebrations completely exhausted.
Is there a single boss, partner or associate, client or employee worth damaging your health for?
No, none of them are worth it!
I learned this lesson at my last job, and as a result, it was a complete burnout! And I dare to hope that I will never accept such conditions again in the future. Sometimes you have to go through with an experience to learn a lesson. After a few months of complete rest, I realized. My body, however, was completely exhausted, and I had to follow her rhythm! For a girl who used to run, no longer having the energy to walk 500 steps in a day was very difficult. But time, healthy food, patience, and the love of my loved ones finally worked and I regained my health. Since then, I have realized what a gift health is that we must take care of without fail.
What to do? What to eat?
- You don't need to be an expert or have granola to be healthy! Respecting yourself is also healthy.
- Don't like Brussels sprouts? Use another vegetable you like!
- You've never run in your life, but you'd like to try? GOOD! Go for a few minutes of walking and then do a few running steps! Don't overdo it or strain your heart out!
- Experiment, persevere, try, enjoy life.
- Set the breading and fries aside and bite into a real apple.
Lacking the energy? No problem! Put on your shoes, dress appropriately, and walk out the door without a second thought. Breathe in the fresh air, soak up the sun, the cold, or the warmth that colors your cheeks.
Enjoy the moment.
Too young, too old, not capable?
Come on! Put an end to your old refrains, put aside your excuses! No matter our condition, we can all do better! Is that too much? Yes, I know, but it's not a valid excuse!
No time?
Um... yes, you have time... you just have to take the time! 1,440 minutes in a day, you can't take 30 minutes to exercise in your day??? Um... find another excuse, this one doesn't hold water!
Don't like it?
It's normal, it will take you a few days to get used to it. We guarantee you won't want to go back!
Walk through the door without thinking.
Breathe in the fresh air, let yourself be immersed in the sun, the cold or the heat that colors your cheeks.
Enjoy the moment.
