What if we had our own hygiene and sanitation congress in Quebec?

Our profession is so important that it is present in all buildings in Quebec!

This week, I saw another post on LinkedIn stating that there had been an ISSA conference in the United States. And I thought to myself: Are we in Quebec curious? Are we keen to learn and see what's new in order to constantly improve? I have a feeling that most of us are like that! In any case, when I was the head of my housekeeping company, it was a guaranteed annual outing and I took great pleasure in it and gained ideas to improve the quality of my business.

But for the past few years, nothing! Each supplier organizes their own day. There's no longer any challenge to compare yourself at least once to others. Personally, I find it's healthy to compare yourself, to analyze yourself, to want to do better. I believe the world is a better place for it! It forces us to reflect, to listen to our customers. It's a special moment, for a single day, or two, for sellers and buyers to take some quality time to listen to each other and reflect.

Have our own hygiene and sanitation congress?

WHY NOT?!!

In Quebec, we have some great cleaning companies
Several manufacturers and distributors of chemicals and other products
We have accessory manufacturers who are more ingenious year after year.
We are also fortunate to have manufacturers of specialized equipment for our field.
Without wanting to preach for my parish... we have fantastic trainers and consultants in hygiene and sanitation.
We have accountants who specialize in cleaning companies.
Professional recruiters who support our industry.
Even an association (Radiem) which connects several hundred cleaning companies, who experience injustices and want to make it known and obtain justice.
We have employees who go the extra mile for their customers.
And many other products and services that revolve around household maintenance.

So what's the problem? Are we afraid of improving? Of having to make an effort to avoid losing our place to a competitor?

Well yes, I know! My parents always told me, I'm sometimes direct and not very stylish! Hahaha! But I'm tired of seeing our industry working in its own corner, against each other! I want to shake up our industry so that it becomes better and renews itself in some way! I want us to grow our industry and for it to shine and have a professional image.

I SWEAR: There is room for each of us!

Okay, now that I've pushed you to your limits and perhaps provoked you... let's get down to business! It's November 1, 2018. My November challenge is this: Let's start a dialogue between us!
