Already the 6th^th year started. The company has evolved so much in such a short time, and even more so myself! The company is still young, however, I have found a way to innovate each year by adding training or services that meet the needs of our customers. Today, I want to share with you where I am, me and my company, CF Salubrité Inc.

A little history

I am leaving sick, from a company that did not respect the minimum labor standards towards me after 32 years with the formerly family business. I felt like my business, the one I had helped build with my parents, had been "stolen". However, even though I lost thousands of dollars to these dishonest people, I realize today that it was the best thing that ever happened to me! If these people had not acted this way towards me, I would never have left; it was a matter of honor to stay.

The first two years, 2017 and 2018

It was a whirlwind of events and decisions to make. I felt like my head was going to explode with ideas. It was as if everything I had always wanted to achieve could now take shape! I loved this exciting time despite the financial difficulties. Although I was well-known with "my old company," Lydia Frascarelli was not at all well-known in connection with CF Salubrité Inc., a new company.

So, I rolled up my sleeves! First, I had to create the website after determining what I wanted. Really succeed as a second career. Starting from scratch to realize this plan was a big step for me. Even though I manage my website and social media myself now, you wouldn't believe what I had to do to get there. Seriously, it seemed like a big mountain of bugs, which seemed insurmountable to me. So, at first, I chose the easy way out and mandated several suppliers to take care of this for me.

My first lesson was to understand that the only person who knew my business best was me! After losing thousands of dollars and especially finding myself with a website completely ruined by a supplier, I understood that I had to take the bug in hand! So, I followed a range of training courses to tame all of this.

The 3rd year, the year of consolidation, 2019

My third year was when my business began to take off and I was finally able to earn a reasonable salary. I had started writing a blog post per week in my first year. To do this, I had to schedule meetings with suppliers or manufacturers to write my articles. It was demanding, and I was fortunately rewarded by the quality of my contacts. I therefore enriched my relationships with certain suppliers who are now those I consider my business partners.

My knowledge has improved since then, thanks to certain manufacturers, who took me under their wing, providing me with additional training. And I love learning, innovating, and pushing the limits! Of course, I've made mistakes like everyone else, but these have also pushed me to constantly improve.

2020, the year of the whirlwind CODID – 19

Oh boy! I had a lot of work to do this year! From the very beginning, I was keen to collaborate and do my part fullyI had to move to a virtual environment, which made connecting with my clients more difficult for me. Like many others, I had to learn how to transmit my knowledge through a screen. The demands were numerous, and I did my best to serve all my clients. My business had a good financial year, but it was oh so exhausting! So I had to realize that despite the needs of my clients, I had to take care of myself, my family, and my relationship.

That year, I understood the importance of conveying information in a visual, more fluid and accessible way for both beginners and those familiar with the field. I worked hard to create visuals that made it easier for users to learn. I saw a positive change among building managers and employees. Everyone realized that the frequencies, work methods, cleaning products and accessories or equipment had to be efficient. And that we could no longer skimp on housekeeping. Honestly... it was time for a positive change in that area.

2021-2022 I take my place

This past year, I've learned to trust myself. And it's also the year I realize my business has a solid foundation and I no longer have to doubt its viability. I realize I have a stable and loyal clientele, with whom I can build, collaborate, and even help improve these projects. The company now enjoys a reputation that outpaces it with new clients, who are very often referred.

So, instead of having to constantly do development activities, I can now focus on improving production, the quality of training and services. Just today, I signed two new major contracts, which didn't even happen twice a month in the first few years!

Even though I can't reveal my biggest upcoming innovation right away, I realize that it came about thanks to these 5 years of experiencing obstacles.

And the next 5 years?

Until now, everything was done manually and I sometimes experience periods of really intense work. Fortunately, my computer skills have greatly improved thanks to multiple training courses. I have always operated my business alone until now and it suited me very well. However, I see that I am at another stage: that of adding larger and faster production means. I will also have the pleasure of welcoming my first intern, Lionel, who will help improve our processes. And I now have colleagues who are dear to me and who participate in my business.

I'm tripping!! At this moment in my life, I am realizing the full realization of what I have envisioned in my head for the past 25 years! In this sixth year, a major innovation will change the face of the housekeeping team manager. I am impatient, but I must be patient to spread this future innovation.

Although I'm bursting with enthusiasm, all this work has been made possible because our customers have trusted us. You give me wonderful adventures that push me to improve every day. And that makes me want to spoil you. I want to contribute to the hygiene and sanitation of our buildings by fully supporting the managers.

To my valued collaborators, know that you fulfill me completely. I have always wanted this collaborative relationship with my preferred suppliers and manufacturers. I hope that my collaboration fulfills you completely as well.
