My job is one of wonder! I have the privilege of seeing the inside of buildings in their worst condition and, with the help of the administration, of helping employees do a better job of professionalism. Sometimes it takes time and patience. The bad habits have been there for a long time by the time I arrive. And that's what I love!

Why am I being consulted?

• To provide annual basic training to employees
• Ensure that housekeeping employees are motivated by providing them with training that stimulates them
• To resolve a technical problem on a floor or other surface
• Because the state of the building is not acceptable in terms of cleanliness, we receive hygiene complaints from the building's customers.

Management consultant for public administrations

Having been at the head of a major cleaning company for around thirty years, I am well-versed in the tendering process. So, government agencies rely on my services for everything related to cleaning quotes, the tendering process, supervision via written and recorded quality control, and to have my expert opinion in my field for various questions. I make sure to support my statements with solid evidence to support them in their efforts.

Housekeeping consultant for public and private administrations

The administration sometimes has to adapt and follow certain requests from me. These may be to invest in good work tools and equipment. It may also be as simple as providing training to housekeeping employees who have never received any or very little. From the start of our collaboration, I provide a detailed report on the status of the situation with a written quality control and noted as a percentage. During each of my visits, if necessary, I repeat this quality control to see the progress.

I provide the administration with recommendations and process steps if necessary. No two buildings are alike. Each has its own particularities that make them unique in my eyes. Over the years, the administration may have been very involved with the employee, or not at all. And very often, I encounter people who are very well-intentioned, but who don't understand the techniques and therefore can't help the employee with their tasks and responsibilities.

Most employees are happy when I arrive that they're finally being taken care of and their needs as housekeeping attendants. And generally, they see their working conditions improve with new, high-performance tools at their disposal. They finally have someone who can advise them on how to correct this or that housekeeping issue. Team leaders have an ally who can help them understand their realities.

Sometimes, some employees need to learn that certain behaviors are no longer acceptable. Employees usually have to learn new housekeeping methods. However, this isn't always easy for those who have been using their methods for years. Therefore, it must be done with respect and patience.

One thing is certain: no matter what service you'd like to consult me for, it will be a pleasure. I'm as passionate about my work as I am about the people I meet.

Who am I?

My name is Lydia Frascarelli, a trainer and consultant in housekeeping – sanitation within my company:  CF Salubrity Inc. After 32 years at the helm of a cleaning company with around 100 employees, I now offer consulting and training services, specializing in cleaning and food safety.
