Tips and tricks for washing your floors in winter

Having trouble washing your floors in winter?
If your floors are stained with white streaks, it's because you don't have the right cleaning product. Or maybe even the wrong cleaning technique. So, in this article, let's take a look at what you need to avoid wasting a lot of time washing your floors this winter.
Here are the key points to remember:
- Thoroughly mop the surface beforehand.
- Change your wet mops regularly (once a week)
- Generally, this technique requires hot water (check with the product manufacturer, or on the work label on the wash gallon)
- Tile floors require washing with a neutral cleaner to avoid damaging the floor finish.
- However, you need a cleaner (acidic to neutral depending on the distributor) formulated for the calcium
- It is very important to vacuum water very frequently at the entry points of your buildings.
- As well as not letting snow accumulate at entrances.
Where can I find a calcium removal product?
I've compiled a list of products by supplier. If I've forgotten any, dear suppliers, please let me know, and I'll add or modify the article. Which of these suppliers has the best product? I can't tell you; I haven't tried them all, unfortunately. But I know at least half of them. And most are effective and have been tested many times by our many building janitors.

Another use for the cleaner is to remove calcium.
- It is generally also used for remove calcium stains from your carpetss. Check with the manufacturer or on the label.
- Cleaning your vehicle mats
- Clean thebuilding aluminum in your entrances (Failure to do so could permanently damage your building)
Other tips and tricks for face the winter
- Wash your entrances regularly if you have a high level of traffic in your buildings (Floors, lower walls and portico windows)
- Vacuum up the accumulated water in the entrances after each break, meal, change of shift.
- Don't let the snow accumulate in front of your entrances. The fewer there are, the fewer there will be inside.
- Make sure to measure your washing product correctly according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Otherwise, the product will not be effective.
- Do remove winter boots at the entrance if possible would be ideal, however, we know that this is not possible in all buildings.
