Organizing a work routine

Just because you have a housekeeping job doesn't necessarily mean you have a work organization logic. And it's also not true that just because you've been in the field for over 10 years, you're efficient in your work routine. So this article will provide some guidelines for organizing your work. This article discusses a logic for sequencing housekeeping tasks that eliminates unnecessary steps, allowing you to maximize your time. However, this article is not the equivalent of a proper evaluation.
One piece at a time, one side or the other

Instead of trying to maintain the entire building, maintain one room at a time. Many employees maintain rooms by
returning to several stages in their evening. For example, taking out the trash in all the rooms, then going back to the beginning and cleaning the furniture in the rooms. Then going back to wander around and then going back to wash the floors. This means you're retracing your steps 4 times! It's a big waste of time, and there's a risk of forgetting certain areas! It's not an efficient method at all.
On the blog image you will see that we have identified you with arrows work pathThe idea is to follow its path (for example, following its right or its left)
If it's a closed office, for example, see these two photos, showing the work path depending on whether you are left-handed or right-handed.
It doesn't matter if you're left-handed or right-handed! It's a way of don't forget anything. Here is an article on the forgotten cleaning work frequently.
Be well equipped

We can spot a new employee to the loss of time used in your work routine. Preparing your housekeeping cart efficiently will allow you to maintain all the
premises without having to return to the cleaning room due to forgetting this or that work accessory. We have written a complete article on the preparing the cleaning trolley. As you can see in this representative image, you will have everything you need to do a regular routine such as:
- THE microfiber cloths and corresponding buckets
- Floor mopping and washing supplies
- Enough of work gloves
- Sanitary supplies and corresponding accessories
Of course, the premises on your work route might influence your cart preparation, but this gives you a good idea.

You won't try to do everything every day
Employees often try to do everything, every day. But this is usually impossible to do efficiently due to a lack of work time. Let's look at how to optimally distribute tasks.
- On a daily basis, the affected areas by visitors such as the door handle, chair armrests would need to be cleaned.
- Every day, it is recommended to mop the floor or vacuum common areas.
- Weekly, the office could be cleaned, being touched by only one person.
- Every week, the floors will be washed and vacuumed “wall to wall”.
- Chair or table legs and window sills could be cleaned weekly.
- High spaces, such as dusting frames, could be dusted monthly.
Weekly and monthly tasks can therefore be distributed throughout the week. For example, if you have 10 offices to clean, 2 offices per day will be cleaned thoroughly. And for the rest of the offices, the daily tasks will be carried out. The advantage is that by the end of the week, all tasks for all offices will have been completed correctly.
The work road

The work route as well as the housekeeping quote are two documents that seem to me to be priorities. The housekeeping estimate establishes all the work to be done from daily to 3 to 5 years. While the work route establishes the work that will be done from Monday to Friday, taking into account what was said above. The route or work path has already been studied for the employee and he just has to follow his route without having to rack his brains to balance his days.
A work route is not a series of premises to be completed without further ado! A real work route is much more elaborate. You will find an article about the contents of a work route here.
I hope these elements can guide you effectively!
