What will you actually do for the planet?

There's a lot of talk about the planet suffering right now. We're sad, we cry, we share disastrous images, etc. But what are we doing? In concrete terms, Every day for our planet? In 2019, I read and subscribed to several blogs to learn more. I even tried to find CEGEP-level training to become even more informed. But I didn't find what I was looking for. Nevertheless, there really is a lot of information on the internet. Here are my favorite informative websites.

My planet's favorites

Greenpeace, Naturally, it's a truly comprehensive source of information. And no matter which social network you prefer, you can follow them. They very often launch challenges to push us out of our comfort zone. For example, in January, it's the #DefiAlimentationClimat: In 2020, eat for the climate!

There David Suzuki Foundation.A goldmine for making concrete, everyday improvements. On their website, you'll find a really down-to-earth and accessible informative blog. It's clear to me that many of these tips can be put into practice. 24 tips to make our daily lives greener.

Equiterre, Another great information platform! They also offer concrete solutions to citizens, municipalities, and governments on how to make better ecological and equitable choices. I fully intend to participate in their race to change the world, in May of each year.

Recyc-Québec which helps us better recover or reuse our waste materials. Simple methods, accessible to all. Their page What goes in the bin It is also very clear and easy to apply. All the information is there. There really is no reason not to do better when it comes to recycling and composting.

  • To improve my ability to recover and reuse objects;
  • I'm going to reintroduce composting, which I gave up on in July. I'll look into it further;
  • Reduce my plastic consumption;
  • Offer carpooling more frequently;
  • Read about the subject to better do my part. And of course, share my great discoveries.
