Quality control in housekeeping
Quality control is a snapshot taken at a specific time, based on facts—never on impressions or personal feelings toward an employee. This one-day training provides managers and team leaders with a common foundation, fair and objective assessment tools, and a method for implementing a genuine culture of quality. In the afternoon, it addresses the crux of the matter: communicating with employees clearly, empathetically, and effectively.
Who is this training for?
- Hygiene and sanitation team managers
- Team leaders and supervisors
- Quality control managers
- Anyone called upon to assess the quality of work and to supervise a maintenance team
Training objectives
- Having a common understanding of the concept of quality control
- To establish fair and equitable means of control
- Establish a basic assessment form and a criteria guide
- To equip oneself with a means of communication that is egalitarian, empathetic and above all effective
What you will learn
- To establish a sustainable quality culture, with the support of management and a clear action plan, known and understood by the team.
- Structure quality control according to a rigorous cycle — plan, implement, evaluate, act — distinguishing between expected, desired, delivered and perceived quality.
- Building fair, truthful and indisputable assessment tools: assessment form, criteria guide and quality manual.
- Conduct constant but unpredictable checks (never the same day or at the same time), taking into account the classification of risk areas.
- Apply three complementary control methods: visual and noted inspection, fluorescent light (to check mechanical action) and customer surveys.
- You rely on solid reference documentation: housekeeping quotes, roadmaps and schedules for major works.
- Communicating effectively with your employees: listen with empathy, distinguish the facts, express feelings and needs, and formulate clear and negotiable requests.
