Well yes! It's great to have a cleaning company!
It doesn't work on its own, and we have to work hard to make ourselves known, respond to all the requests, respond to government demands, and so on. We go through periods of euphoria as well as discouragement. So I had the idea to write an article on 4 of my tools that can help you get better organized while being easy to introduce.
Clearly determine your objectives for the coming year
This seems essential to me! If we don't know where we want to go, how do we expect it to happen? At least once a year, we should set aside a special moment to see what we really want to achieve in the coming year. This document remains prominently displayed in my office, and I regularly make sure I don't lose my bearings.
And goals are all well and good, but we also need to determine what means we will take to achieve our objectives.
Prepare each new week, respecting your objectives
Every Sunday, I prepare my goals for the coming week. Why? Because when I don't, I procrastinate and don't do anything I should do, I get lost in trivialities! And what a pleasure to cross off each item, once done! It is essential for me to do everything I had planned for my week. Until it is done, I don't have the right to start my weekend! Believe me, every day, I make sure I am well aligned with my goals and do what I have to do!
Personally, I really like the app. Google Calendar. There is the possibility to add repetitive activities, event reminders, and all in color. I love it!!
Each week should include the following 4 topics:
(Here is my form for MY week)
Sales
- Here are all your new contract departures, departure date and any other important points to remember.
- Prospecting activities (number of mailings, cold calls, clients to meet, etc.)
- Sales follow-up following a submission
- Etc.
Production
- Supervision to be done, on which contract
- Recruitment?
- Employee meeting?
- Training activity
- Etc.
Administration
- Billing and sending account statements
- Any other billing activity, payment of invoices
- Friday: Goals for next week to be set
- Is there anything I can do to improve my business?
Staff
- Move at least 20 to 30 minutes a day (running, walking, weight training, cycling, gym, etc.) to clear my brain and energize myself
- Do at least one quality activity with my children, my partner
- 1 activity to go further in my learning, to keep my brain switched on!
- Doing an activity just for my own pleasure!
Do what you have to do!
Well yes, it seems simple, just do what we planned to do. However, we sometimes waste so much time on activities that shouldn't take so much (Facebook and other social media for example). If my goals are clear at the beginning of the day, I have a 100% better chance of achieving them because I will be focused. I see so many people who do a lot of things during their day, without having accomplished anything concrete at the end of their day!
