I had a great meeting with Diversey's major account manager in Quebec, Yves Demontigny. Diversey Products is an excellent product line, which is popular with the housekeeping staff and myself. You'll even see that Diversey is among the preferred manufacturers CF Salubrité has been a longtime partner. They have flagship products that are unmatched by their competitors. So, in this article, I'm sharing my favorites and the flagship products you should know about. All their products generally have a 2-year shelf life unless otherwise stated.
The core Diversey product line
First, Diversey has a format that I prefer: the Accumix format. This concentrated format contains a built-in dispenser that can be transported on a cleaning cart, taking up little space. Simple and effective.
Diversey Prominence Neutral Cleaner
It only costs a few cents a day. It's pH neutral, of course, but it also removes tough dirt. And it's GREENGUARD GOLD certified and meets the Green Seal® GS-37 standard, so you can use it in commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. It doesn't need to be rinsed after application.
- Smell: Citrus
- Dilution: 1:256
Diversey Stop Slip® Neutral, Anti-Slip Cleaner
To my knowledge, this anti-slip product has no equivalent among its competitors. This product is an acid anti-slip treatment for ceramic, porcelain or quarry tiles (red sandstone) in kitchens or food production areas where this type of surface is found. These tiles, when new, provide a good coefficient of traction but become slippery after a few years. Stop slip® restores the original coefficient of traction by micro-etching (etch) the surface.
To treat the surface, apply it neat to the surface and leave to act for 20 minutes or 40 minutes on porcelain or glazed ceramic.
This product should not be used on terrazzo, vinyl, linoleum, rubber, or waxed floors. Stop Slip® can also be used as a daily cleaner in kitchens at a dilution rate of 1:128.
This product is used in the food industry, particularly in kitchens. It has CFIA and Kosher certifications. This product has a pH of 4.5 in concentrated format. It is available in only 4 liters, unlike other Diversey products. Here is its Suma stop slip technical sheet for your reference.
- 2 possible dilutions. Ready to use for monthly or supplemental use or 1:128 for daily use.
Diversey GP Forward® Degreaser
What I like about this product is that it can be used to remove stains from walls, clean tables, or scrub floors. It's very versatile and effective. A nice touch is that this product is used with cold water. Its Accumix format is a concentrated formula. It has a pH of 11.4 in the concentrated format. Another advantage is that it is Kosher certified.
- Smell: Slightly lemony.
- Dilutions: Large-scale works: 1:128 or regular works: 1:256
Diversey Oxivir® Disinfectant Cleaner
Oxivir® disinfectant is arguably the best-known and most widely used disinfectant during the Coronavirus crisis. Not only is it approved by Health Canada to eliminate the Coronavirus, for Oxivir Plus® and 1 minute for Oxivir tB®. This disinfectant is bactericidal, tuberculocidal, virucidal, fungicidal, and tuberculocidal for Oxivir tB. It is also effective against several other viruses. It even has Ecologo certification.
Its pH is 0.8 in concentrated format and 2.2 in diluted form. As you can see, this disinfectant is available in different formats, as well as in Oxivir tB® wipes. Oxivir tB® (RTU or wipe) has a contact time of 1 minute. I particularly like the wipes, which, unlike its competitors, are just moistened enough, instead of being dripping wet. You can therefore clean and disinfect in 1 step, without having to rinse with this latter format.
- Oxivir Plus® Dilution: 1:40 – 5-minute disinfectant or 1:128 for sanitation.
Exceptional products
In this section, we present some special products such as wood, rubber, linoleum (marmoleum), terrazzo, polished stone, and concrete care products. Please note that this section will include blog posts detailing these techniques in the coming weeks.
Wood care products
The wood floor maintenance technique is really easy! This technique will also be added to our regular training offerings. Documentation: Wood Floor Maintenance with Diversey (English only at this time). You will only need the following items and products:
- A Bona Diamond abrasive disc
- A Bona® T-bar applicator with refill
- A regular low speed polisher
- Bona SuperCourt OPTUM® Floor Finish

Maintenance of rubber floors such as Mondo flooring
Mondo flooring is often found in gyms and indoor running tracks. Athletes love it because it's a soft flooring, meaning it poses no risk of impact for runners. However, it's a no-wax flooring option. However, if there's a lot of traffic, you may have to do some light scrubbing and floor finishing. Here are the recommended products for this type of task:
- Profi® Cleaner – a pH-controlled degreaser neutral, is formulated for all resilient and synthetic rubber floor coverings. This cleaner can also be used on hard surfaces sensitive to alkaline pH such as stone, marble. This product is Kosher certified. It has a pH of 8.8. It is diluted at a ratio of 1 to 4 ounces per gallon depending on the task we have to perform and the extent of the soiling.
- The Wiwax® revitalizing product can be used as a floor finish.
- And you will take Wiwax® conditioner to restore the appearance and color of the rubber floor.
Linoleum floors – Marmoleum™
If there is one floor that is little known, it is linoleum or commonly called Marmoleum.™ from Forbo™You will often see this type of flooring in daycares, corporate headquarters, classrooms, etc. This flooring already has a factory-applied TopShield2™ finish. This floor is said to be maintenance-free, but it will still require some care. It is said to be a maintenance-free floor, but it will still require some care. This floor is easily buffed at a low speed of 300 rpm, with a red 3M pad. You will always find a factory-applied color print on this type of floor.
Note that the Marmoleum is a trademark of Forbo™. THE generic name is Linoleum. THE Ultra high speed polishing is prohibited by Forbo™ as it burns the Topshield2™. So the pattern is not printed in the primary layer, as you will see in the image below..

This type of floor should never be stripped with traditional stripping products.
You can, however, use the neutral stripper Linosafe®. Since it is neutral, it will not damage the TopShield2® layer applied in the factory by the manufacturer. You can save your floors for a long time, without any alteration to the floor, by treating it properly. You will be careful to apply two coats of Linobase sealer which will protect it screw since it is a permanent sealer. The beauty of this sealer is that it is matte, very slightly shiny.
