{"id":8613,"date":"2018-11-01T23:24:26","date_gmt":"2018-11-02T03:24:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cfsalubrite.com\/?p=8613"},"modified":"2018-12-14T02:04:32","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T06:04:32","slug":"what-if-we-had-our-own-hygiene-and-sanitation-congress-in-quebec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cfsalubrite.com\/en\/et-si-on-avait-notre-propre-congres-hygiene-et-salubrite-au-quebec\/","title":{"rendered":"What if we had our own hygiene and sanitation conference in Quebec?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt; color: #003366;\">Our profession is so important that it is present in all buildings in Quebec!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This week, I saw another post on LinkedIn stating that there had been an ISSA conference in the United States. And I thought to myself: Are we in Quebec curious? Are we keen to learn and see what&#039;s new in order to constantly improve? I have a feeling that most of us are like that! In any case, when I was the head of my housekeeping company, it was a guaranteed annual outing and I took great pleasure in it and gained ideas to improve the quality of my business.<\/p>\n<p>But for the past few years, nothing! Each supplier organizes their own day. There&#039;s no longer any challenge to compare yourself at least once to others. Personally, I find it&#039;s healthy to compare yourself, to analyze yourself, to want to do better. I believe the world is a better place for it! It forces us to reflect, to listen to our customers. It&#039;s a special moment, for a single day, or two, for sellers and buyers to take some quality time to listen to each other and reflect.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Have our own hygiene and sanitation congress?<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">WHY NOT?!!<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In Quebec, we have some great cleaning companies<\/li>\n<li>Several manufacturers and distributors of chemicals and other products<\/li>\n<li>We have accessory manufacturers who are more ingenious year after year.<\/li>\n<li>We are also fortunate to have manufacturers of specialized equipment for our field.<\/li>\n<li>Without wanting to preach for my parish... we have fantastic trainers and consultants in hygiene and sanitation.<\/li>\n<li>We have accountants who specialize in cleaning companies.<\/li>\n<li>Professional recruiters who support our industry.<\/li>\n<li>Even an association (<a href=\"http:\/\/radiem.ca\">Radiem<\/a>) which connects several hundred cleaning companies, who experience injustices and want to make it known and obtain justice.<\/li>\n<li>We have employees who go the extra mile for their customers.<\/li>\n<li>And many other products and services that revolve around household maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">So what&#039;s the problem? Are we afraid of improving? Of having to make an effort to avoid losing our place to a competitor?<\/h3>\n<p>Well yes, I know! My parents always told me, I&#039;m sometimes direct and not very stylish! Hahaha! But I&#039;m tired of seeing our industry working in its own corner, against each other! I want to shake up our industry so that it becomes better and renews itself in some way! I want us to grow our industry and for it to shine and have a professional image.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">I SWEAR: There is room for each of us!<\/h2>\n<p>Okay, now that I&#039;ve pushed you to your limits and perhaps provoked you... let&#039;s get down to business! It&#039;s November 1, 2018. My November challenge is this: Let&#039;s start a dialogue between us! At the risk of putting my head on the stake,<span style=\"color: #003366; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong> I invite you to join me at the end of November, at a date that will suit most of those who are interested in this idea.<\/strong><\/span>Let&#039;s have a business lunch without competition between us, for pleasure and for business. And let&#039;s see where this unique meeting can lead us... to a<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #003366;\"><strong><em>congress of housekeeping professionals in November 2019<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u2026?<\/p>\n<p>I know, I know, my dad always told me I was a little torrid!
