If there's one thing you shouldn't forget when cleaning your home, it's to remember to restock your sanitary supplies. there must NEVER be a shortage of it ! There are many different types of sanitary supplies in Quebec, Canada, and this article aims to unravel them and identify the biggest players in our part of the country.

Little organizational tips

As mentioned in the introduction, the worst hygiene complaint in a building is a lack of sanitary supplies! But for that, it's best to give yourself tips so you never forget to restock the dispensers. My easiest tip is to simply refill them in the first step of your work sequence!

And I find it very important to make a real work route to an employee where the work sequences and tasks are well defined. Doing a wash by one and by the other can be completely different. Indeed, most housekeeping employees learn their job from another employee, who does not necessarily have the right working methods. good starting lineup is therefore required. And like any other profession, the housekeeping employee needs refresher training as well as training where he can learn to do better and improve. Every employee needs a challenge!

Types of toilet paper

In any case, these come in 1, 2, or even 3-ply (sheets). In commercial format, 2-ply is preferable since it won't fray easily and is easy to cut, and is good value for money.

"The
The small roll of toilet paper

The small roll of homemade toilet paper

In many commercial and industrial buildings, the small roll of toilet paper that we also use at home is still in use. When I advise a client on this issue, I strongly suggest they switch to commercial sizes. On the production side, employees will have to change the toilet paper roll multiple times throughout the day or week, which represents a complete waste of work time. Let's use a housekeeping attendant's time better than changing toilet paper.

Its medium can also be reused for gardening for seedlings, but... not all housekeeping staff are gardeners! Imagine the number of rolls of this size needed in a medium- to high-traffic building. So, if you're looking to garden ecologically, your housekeeping staff has plenty of supplies for you for free!

The commercial and industrial format

Indeed, for a significant gain in productivity, I suggest you cut the small roll for the large one, commercial and industrial format. And while you're at it,

"Using

change, if the restroom stall allows it, use dual-size dispensers, this will allow the housekeeper to have to change it much less often. However, remember to choose dispensers that the employee can easily and visually check if the roll needs to be changed. Some dispensers absolutely must be unlocked to check the remaining quantity of the roll: Pure waste of time!

Some cores (middle of the roll) have no remaining cardboard and others do not.

All manufacturers have a smart way of selling their toilet paper. You have to be careful and carefully calculate the quality, length, and width of the paper to be able to compare apples with apples! Don't make your purchasing decision based solely on price; look at the quality. For example, if you choose single-ply, you'll find a good portion of the product on the floor because it's thin, and customers will be inclined to waste a good portion of it. Also, check the number of rolls in the box, the length, and width of the paper.

Hand papers

At this level, we still have multiple possible choices, and it is important to understand that at the commercial and industrial level, employee productivity must take precedence in your decisions. Therefore, I favor vending machines in commercial and professional formats.

There are multiple choices: Multi-ply, single-ply, 205 to 1400 feet. The only 2 papers I try to remove from buildings are single-ply or multi-ply paper because of paper waste. Either the dispenser lets too much paper through at a time, or the dispenser is too tight and we have difficulty removing the paper. I prefer dispensers that will stop the quantity.

You also have the choice of paper color: natural or white. Natural color will generally be more affordable.

Our two major manufacturers in Quebec, Canada

I can't summarize the available formats in a few sentences; there are many, depending on the manufacturer. I prefer to direct you to their respective pages where you're sure to find the latest information available today. In this article, I've chosen to talk about two major players in Quebec. They are responsible paper mills that do a lot for Quebec through their respective community commitments and for the environment.

Cascades Pro

Here are the brands manufactured by Cascades Pro. My favorite brand of all is the Tandem since I find it to be a quality product while being affordable. I invite you to visit the website from Cascades PRO, which is very explicit. Cascades has its head office here in Quebec, in Kinsey Falls, in the Centre-du-Québec administrative region. They also have several plants throughout the rest of Quebec.
