The excitement of window cleaners is already being felt at the end of this spring-like month of February! Because as soon as it's 5 degrees, they're already hard at work! So we wrote this blog as a reminder of what you need to kick off your window cleaning season in style this year. Product references, accessories, and equipment are all part of this specialized blog.<\/p>\n

Protective accessories<\/h2>\n

At 5 degrees, playing in the water outside isn't cold unless you spend a few hours at a time cleaning windows, so it's best to be well-equipped in that case. Bring good socks, gloves, and a warm coat. You might also want to add an earmuff or hat and neck warmer. We suggest wearing winter work boots with non-slip soles.<\/p>\n

There are several on the market, I have selected 3 that work very well.<\/p>\n

I suggest you take two:<\/h3>\n

THE Scrub-Off and Ettore<\/a><\/strong><\/em> seems to me to be a must for Hard water stain remover, available in a convenient liquid paste. It is ideal for water, rust, and mineral stains. Scrub-Off comes in a squeeze bottle for easy dispensing. Available in a 16 oz bottle.<\/span>. So a good \u201cquick fix\u201d to keep in our laundry kit.<\/p>\n

It is ready to use and is applied directly to the window cleaner or cloth. You rub the surface and then rinse and wipe dry.<\/p>\n

Noticed :<\/strong> Some surfaces are sensitive to scratches. Always test the product in a corner before use.<\/p>\n

General purpose product<\/h3>\n

Next, I suggest you take a general purpose window soap. Either the Easy Glid<\/strong>e or even the the Pill lozenge<\/strong>, both from Unger. Just add water. Each tablet cleans 7.5 liters of windows when mixed with water. And you'll see that each tablet is individually wrapped in a foil pouch to keep moisture out.<\/span><\/p>\n

The choice is immense, but we've selected the most important and useful ones for you. Let's first look at the major brands in this sector. A little tip: no matter what equipment you choose, make sure you buy accessories that fit together. Not all mouthpieces are created equal.<\/p>\n

A very useful accessory no matter what choice of accessories and equipment you make is the Vileda Professional PVA Micro Microfiber Cloth<\/a><\/strong>Oh, how you'll save time! This cloth can be used with just water. This cloth is available in blue, green, pink, or yellow. And you can rest assured that we always have them in stock at our training center. One of the most comprehensive brands in the window cleaning industry is Unger. I particularly like their dampener<\/a><\/strong><\/em> Ergotec Ninja brand window scraper<\/a><\/strong><\/em>. The finish of the scraper in particular<\/p>\n

is unique. The blade is fixed at each end of the scraper so that it does not come out of its base. The handle is very comfortable. And what's more, this scraper and moistener bends to our will. This facilitates the versatility of the work. Also, regarding the raclette<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, it is possible to have only one handle<\/a><\/strong> which you can replace the squeegee size as needed. For a complete set, it's quite expensive. But you'll likely end up keeping it for the rest of your cleaning career! The only thing you'll have to change occasionally is the blade, which is the same as all of its competitors.<\/p>\n

The dampening pads are particularly high quality. Many have a rougher surface area to scrub dirtier surfaces.<\/p>\n

Of course, there is the regular wetting coating <\/strong><\/em><\/a>that you might like for regular washing of the front door for example.<\/p>\n

This brand is probably the biggest competitor for this type of accessory. Ettore has tools made of brass or aluminum. These are very solid and durable accessories. Two items I like about this brand are its belt, which is more versatile in my opinion and affordable.<\/p>\n

I also recommend Scrub-OFF Cream. This product removes tough hard water stains, calcium deposits, limescale, and soap scum. You'll appreciate it for use on windows, patio doors, tiles, porcelain sinks, shower doors, bathtubs, windshields, and more.<\/p>\n

This product is ready to use with a microfiber cloth.<\/p>\n

Ettore is accessible to all budgets since they have different alternatives.<\/p>\n

SORBO<\/h3>\n

One of their unique accessories is the double squeegee! See for yourself in this video. Sorbo is particularly loved for its possibilities with the squeegee.<\/p>\n
