If there's one place where housekeeping is often neglected, it's the gym and exercise room! So, we decided to write a comprehensive article about it, attempting to provide clear guidelines regarding maintenance frequency, recommended cleaning products, accessories, and equipment, and preferred methods.<\/p>\n

Maintenance frequencies by space<\/h2>\n

First, we remind you that the high-touch locations<\/a><\/strong><\/em> These are areas that should be cleaned multiple times a day. Many gyms and exercise rooms choose to provide disinfectant and paper towels for their clients to clean after using the equipment. Most clients will simply clean the handles of cardio machines. And for weight machines, clients sometimes use a towel, but this is not equivalent to proper cleaning.<\/p>\n

However, a truly good cleaning should still be done every day by a properly trained professional. I've illustrated the most frequently overlooked areas in this type of space in the infographic on the left.<\/p>\n

Cardio machines<\/h3>\n

The machine's handles, control panel, and stop button are the most contaminated parts of a cardio machine. The treadmill and base of the machine also need to be cleaned, as sweat can even "burn" the surfaces. These surfaces should therefore be cleaned daily.<\/p>\n

Weight training equipment<\/h3>\n

Surfaces touching the body must be cleaned completely, including action buttons, handles, glute bench or backrest.<\/p>\n

Balls, dumbbells, exercise mats<\/h3>\n

You'll probably be disgusted if you look at the cleanliness of these surfaces! These are places that are generally absent from regular maintenance, for no reason! It's true that<\/p>\n

In a sports center specializing in bodybuilding, there are multiple bodybuilding accessories. And generally, customers are not used to cleaning these surfaces. However, these surfaces can be cleaned very quickly using the pre-soaking<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Furnishing the sports locker room<\/h3>\n

Locker rooms should be cleaned at the end of the routine to give employees a chance to clean without customers getting in the way! We suggest cleaning this area with a biotechnological bathroom cleaner. They are very effective in this type of space, just like the gym's exercise equipment.<\/p>\n
