Spring is coming in a month and already we can't wait to open our windows and wash them. Being able to see spring awaken thanks to the sparkling windows delights me every year! And if there's one area where there have been plenty of innovations, it's the field of professional window cleaning<\/a><\/strong><\/em>l. In this article, I will tell you about my favorite tools, but also about more basic accessories or equipment.<\/p>\n

What use do you want to equip yourself for?<\/h2>\n

Is it to wash the windows of the entrance portico and some partition windows of the building? Or is it to wash the windows of buildings, businesses, industries<\/strong> Or government buildings<\/strong>? It could also be for washing residential windows<\/strong> in a way professional<\/strong> or even for his own house<\/strong>. In all these cases, the reference of equipment and accessories is not the same for everyone. For the interior washing of a few windows, it is worth having a good window scraper and a basic wetting tool. But we will not need a wetting tool with rougher scratches, for example. However, for any exterior washing, I recommend basic accessories made for exterior washing. And if we make it a profession, I recommend that you equip yourself properly to work quickly, while being ergonomic and safe for the employee. And even if the accessories and equipment will be more expensive, you will gain in time and quality!<\/p>\n

A simple high-performance and professional moistener<\/strong><\/a><\/em> will suffice such as the white moistener you see in this photo. The complete moistener contains these 2 parts: The T-bar and the covering<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You will also need some complete window scrapers<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, which includes the handle<\/strong>, there barrette<\/strong>\u00a0as well as the rubber<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Every company that makes window cleaning accessories has one or more basic kits of this type.<\/p>\n

For the exterior, if you are doing a lot of window cleaning, I suggest:<\/h3>\n

For reference, you will see below the accessory sets and products from the most well-known brands.<\/p>\n

  1. To have several widths<\/strong> accessories. I would say that these sizes are the most common: 10 or 12 inches, 14, 18 and 22 inches.<\/li>\n

  6. For the other three seasons, honestly, I only take good old dish soap<\/strong>, all brands combined! Window cleaning products are generally the most expensive products on the market and are not an advantage for regular window cleaning.<\/li>\n
  7. EXCEPT<\/strong>, if you clean the windows in the spring, or a building where there is material stuck on the windows, there are certain specialized products<\/strong> for this type of problem. In this case, you might also want to consider the rougher dampeners that will help you dislodge tougher materials.<\/li>\n

Unger has thought of all types of washers, so there are several ranges of wipers and squeegees in particular. Personally, my favorite is the Unger Ergotec Ninja kit, which is foldable and comfortable. These are the kits I have in my training room for students. I like their handles, which are all easy to open and close, while still holding the bar firmly. There are also several styles of wiper coatings that I like. And if you ever try the Ergotec Ninja window scraper, you'll be in heaven if you need to remove a sticker from a window! It comes off like a charm; you'll be surprised at how effective it is.<\/p>\n

    Ettore<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

    Ettore is a well-known brand among window cleaners. For a long time, Unger and Ettore dominated the household cleaning market in Quebec, simply because they were the only two brands sold by distributors! Ettore has tools made of brass or aluminum. These are very strong and durable accessories. The handles have different ways of holding the bar. Personally, I hate handles that close with screws. Imagine when it's cold and you have to rush on a screw...! So I prefer those with pliers.<\/p>\n

    Sorbo<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

    Sorbo doesn't have as many options. But its squeegees are particularly popular for their user comfort. You'll also notice that each end of the strip has a clip that holds the rubber securely in place.<\/p>\n

    Moerman<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

    Personally, I'm much less familiar with Moerman. However, I do notice that they have several styles of complete dampeners and scrapers. Moerman really has its own style that sets them apart. They've marketed several small tools to help workers with their tasks.<\/p>\n
