Hearing Protection Certifications
Our hearing products have been independently tested and subjected to various certification and approval procedures. Use the ANSI• CE•) markers to identify models that meet these standards and certifications.
ANSI S3.19 •CE EN 352:2002 •NRR
The noise reduction ratio (NRR) is used to determine the number of decibels (dB) that a hearing aid is capable of absorbing when properly worn.
ANSI S3.19 SNR
The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is used to determine the number of decibels (dB) that a hearing aid is capable of blocking when properly worn. The signal-to-noise ratio evaluates hearing protection based on the sound environment, with a classification into three categories: high frequency (H), mid frequency (M), and low frequency (L).
