To use it properly, making sure your employees really know how to use it is essential. You need to know how to properly prepare it for the job. Otherwise, you could ruin the resin, the filter, and even break the equipment. So let's start by identifying the correct equipment assembly. Here is the basic equipment for the EcoCart manufactured by Hydrosphère Innovation. When you receive your equipment, you will need to install the filter at the top and the resin in the bottom tube.

Filtered

You will have to change the filtered approximately once a month or more often if you work with " hard water". (See meaning at the bottom of this tutorial). For this purpose, the filtered needs to be replaced very regularly so I suggest you keep a new one in your vehicle.

Resin

The resin could be changed once or twice during your window washing season. However, it also depends on the conditions in which your equipment is used. Therefore, the poorer the water quality, the more frequently the resin should be changed. If the resin changes color, if your equipment leaves white marks or no longer cleans as it should, it is very likely because your resin needs to be changed.

The end of the window washing season

At the end of your washing season, you will need to remove the filtered and the resin and empty the water from the containers. You will start the equipment again in early spring when your schedule fills up with appointments.

As you can see, you may see whitish stains, rust, and other dirt caused by environmental contamination. If these surfaces are never maintained, the problem will get worse and worse, eventually destroying them completely (holes, gnawing). THE TDS dissolved solids reader

TDS stands for total dissolved solids. Water naturally contains mineral salts: magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium, which are positively charged, as well as bicarbonates, carbonates, nitrates, and sulfates, which are negatively charged.

What happens when the TDS level is high? The higher it is, the more the resin will allow the minerals identified above to pass through. When the minerals are removed, the window will become sparkling clean. And that's what pure water washing equipment does: it removes the minerals. Therefore, it's important to ensure the quality of the water once it has been filtered by the equipment.

Preventive maintenance of your pure water washing equipment

The rings

You will find several tightening rings on the handle. I suggest you check that the bushings are properly tightened on the handle. It's just a screw that can be tightened by hand.

It is sometimes possible for these to break when the handle is left on the ground or from excessive handling. These rings are sold individually or as a set.

The garden hose

A garden hose isn't usually included in the complete kit. I suggest choosing a hose that prevents twisting. It will be a little more expensive, but also more durable. Also, make sure it isn't punctured, or replace it if it is.

The filtered water hose

If your gut is dried out, it may need to be changed.

Washing brushes

There are several types of brushes. Here are some of their specific features.

Hydrosphere Innovation hybrid brushis made of nylon. The outer part is soft, exposed nylon thread, the black threads, inside the brush you will also find stiffer, shorter nylon threads (the white ones). These are also found on both ends of the brush, giving you even more flexibility.

There Hydrosphère Innovation hybrid boar bristle brush is one of the best in my opinion. It is not harsh at all, but its mechanical action is greater. You will appreciate it on vehicle coatings or other shiny surfaces.

Another stiffer brush is the Streamline Hi-Lo Radius brush from the same manufacturer. Its special feature is that it has up to 6 jets and is more rigid.

Brush maintenance

Maintaining your brushes isn't very difficult. Simply rinse them to remove any remaining dirt. You may need to use a light degreaser (dish soap) if your brush has picked up something sticky like tar. Then rinse thoroughly.

THE manometer, pressure and pump

THE manometer is a gauge that indicates the pressure of the filtration system. The pressure can also depend on the water pressure of the city where you are located. In some cities, you will have very low water pressure. You could then solve the problem by adding a pump.

Transportation and storage of equipment.

During the winter season, you can't use the equipment below 5 degrees. However, there's no problem using this equipment for indoor washing if there are no electrical hazards nearby.
