How simple it is to clean the toilet, you might say! Since I've seen all sorts of unusual ways, I'd rather set the record straight on this subject. So, in this email, we'll learn how to clean the toilet with the right method, tool, and product, with a little humor!
Methods that don't work!
» By hand only, no brush will be effective enough to clean that! Anyway, you have to clean the entire toilet, so why take a brush? A good pair of gloves and a cloth and you wipe it all down! «!!

"I take the floor mop and clean the toilet! No way I'm cleaning it any other way!"
Author also anonymous
Well no, you're not the one! I just add some blue to the toilet and everyone thinks the toilet is clean!
Um... no, you don't want to know where I was told that either! So anonymous.
Yes, these are three answers I hear very often! So, that tells you how important housekeeping employee training is for all housekeeping teams!
Why choose a cone-shaped dishcloth over a toilet brush?

In another life, I had janitorial employees...! And one of my best, longtime employees actually got a sliver of toilet cleaner in her eye with a stiff toilet brush. She lost all vision in that eye for a week. Luckily, Dana's eye recovered with medical help, but we were very close to her not being able to regain her sight.
So, after this serious accident, I banned this brush from all our projects! Some employees weren't happy about this decision. But everyone's safety takes precedence over personal desires.
Where should I put the toilet cloth?
Simply put it in a container and change the toilet cloth (or mop) with a cone and the bucket regularly. I would say about once a month or more often if necessary. Once a month??? Seriously, a toilet mop with a cone costs roughly $1.4T1.16 per unit. For the container, take a bottle of finished product and cut it in half. Rinse the container thoroughly before placing your mop inside. You could also buy a gallon of product cut in half. Or a container for this purpose sold by your distributor.
Which product to use?
Just like 15 or maybe 20 years ago, soft chemistry products simply didn't exist. Today, we're lucky to find eco-friendly or even organic products. I wouldn't drink them anyway, but they're 100 times better than the old, damaging chemistry we had. You have a choice of products on the market.
Personally, I prefer to use a 1-liter toilet cleaner, ready to use, very slightly acidic or a recurring cream that I also use to clean sinks, showers, baths, but in very small quantities. The 1-liter format is easier to use in my opinion. So, in a toilet, you would only have to put the size of a 10 cents and it is more than enough if you clean every day.
Products to Ban
- Toilet cleaner with 23 % acid: TO BE BANISHED of all buildings. It is with this type of product that we attack the employee's lungs in addition to removing the little enamel that remains in the toilet.
- Bleach: TO BE BAN! If there's one product that's easy to burn surfaces, especially skin, it's this one. Having heard so many employees say they tried using bleach after using toilet cleaner, I'll be pulling this product off the shelves! It can cause quite the instant chemical reaction!

Favor microfiber over any other linen
Microfiber is the best fiber for picking up and cleaning up dirt. We'll be using it to clean the outside of the toilet. I prefer Vileda's NanoTech cloth: Vileda Nanotech technical sheet. As you'll see in the video below, the Nanotech uses Evolon technology, made with integrated silver ions. bacteria die on contact; the laundry does not develop any odor.
For information about the Evolon technology, you can consult the site of its inventor, Freudenberg.
Now the cleaning method – disinfection of the toilet

Bathroom
- Walls first, "clanche" and rear tank
- The seat, on both sides
- The base of the toilet.
Urinal
Since some gentlemen have difficulty aligning, here is their path...
- The toilet partitions, the wall
- Faucets
- Exterior and interior of the tank (this includes the bottom too)
The logic to remember in this sequence? FROM CLEANEST TO DIRTIEST
So, I wish you a good cleaning.
Please note that a tutorial is nothing compared to what you could learn in a real, comprehensive, in-person training course. I therefore strongly suggest the housekeeping and sanitation training course to learn the basics of housekeeping.
