Effective communication, being an exceptional leader

Effective communication, being an exceptional leader
What's the point of being an exceptional leader? It probably won't bring more sales to your company... but you will have a pleasant working environment. Employees will want and even look forward to returning to work after their weekly break, and most importantly, they will want to stay with your company. Adopting effective communication and being an exceptional leader is accessible to anyone who wants to improve their relationships with others.
A business can't function without a solid employee base. Typically, you choose your employees based on their skills and their personality. It's assumed you've chosen them carefully so they complement you and your team perfectly. And you want to avoid employee turnover as much as possible, because regularly repeating induction training for each new employee can be expensive.
However, if you treat them as if they are inferior to you or keep your comments to yourself, I can assure you that they will feel your resentment towards you. A leader with this attitude will have a strongly negative impact on their employees.
Possible negative consequences
-

Consequences of poor communication Demobilization of staff;
- Staff turnover;
- Lack of staff loyalty;
- Unnecessary waste of time;
- The employees don't work a minute longer. They even do as little as possible!;
- Loss of initiative and desire to create;
- No longer dare to bring up an idea or give his opinion;
- Lack of self-confidence among employees;
- Unhealthy, toxic climate;
- Increase in sick leave;
- Burnout;
- Sabotage;
- Denigration of the company;
- Etc.
Conversely, a leader who, through his or her way of being and communicating, naturally invites employees to work for him or her and with him or her will have a strong positive impact on his or her employees and the workplace:
Positive consequences
-

- They want to freely give their opinion and feel heard;
- They want to create and lead innovative projects;

- Etc.
So, no, communicating differently will not change the world, but you will have happier, more stable employees and wanting to work for and with you.
Get them involved! Letting your employees express their ideas can go a long way! Indeed, an idea can become great by leveraging everyone's strengths if you dare to share it.
